Board and Stable Terms of Service
Effective date: Oct. 30, 2026
The short version. This summary is here to help. The full Terms below are what apply.
- Searching the directory and contacting barns and trainers costs nothing.
- Listings come from public sources and may be out of date. Check details with the barn or trainer before you rely on them.
- Your Board and Stable listing is free to claim and update. A claim never involves a card or a charge.
- A verified claim in the United States includes 21 days of Featured placement at no charge. It ends on its own, and nothing is charged.
- In the United States, if you choose to buy Featured, it is $9 a month. It renews monthly until you cancel from your dashboard, and it runs to the end of the month you paid for.
- We may show your public listing, including its photos, in our marketing. Email hello@boardandstable.com to opt out.
- Board and Stable Pro has its own terms and pricing.
- If you pay your barn through a Pro page, you are paying your barn, not us.
- We text you only if you opt in. Reply STOP anytime.
Welcome to Board and Stable. Spur7 LLC, a Colorado limited liability company doing business as Board and Stable ("Board and Stable," "we," "us" or "our"), operates the website at www.boardandstable.com (the "Site"). The Site is an online directory connecting horse owners with boarding facilities and trainers. These Terms cover the Site, the barn owner and trainer dashboard, the forms on the Site, the My Horse app, and the pages a barn or trainer provides to you through Board and Stable Pro as described in section 10 (together, the "Service").
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Service. Our Privacy Policy, at www.boardandstable.com/privacy, explains how we handle personal information. Board and Stable Pro, our barn management software at pro.boardandstable.com, is governed by the separate Board and Stable Pro Terms of Service at pro.boardandstable.com/terms. They apply in addition to these Terms when you use Pro as a barn or trainer.
1. Accepting these Terms
1.1 Visitors. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1.2 When we ask you to accept. We also ask you to accept these Terms expressly, by checking a box:
- the next time you use your Board and Stable dashboard after this version takes effect;
- when you claim a Listing or Trainer Profile, or submit the "List your barn" form. This checkbox accepts these Terms. The Board and Stable Pro Terms of Service are accepted separately, in Pro (section 5.2 of these Terms);
- if a barn that uses Board and Stable Pro sends or shows you a link to a page, such as a portal, invoice, event, release or sign-up page, the first time you pay, sign an agreement, upload a document or send a message there. When you pay, the checkbox is beside the pay button. Reading a page never requires it; and
- the next time you use the My Horse app after this version takes effect.
If you work at a barn, your barn is responsible for its staff's use of Pro under the Board and Stable Pro Terms of Service, and you are not asked to accept separately. These Terms still apply to your use of the Service.
1.3 What we record. Each acceptance is recorded with the version of these Terms and a fingerprint of their text, the time, your account or form submission, where you accepted, and the network address and browser of the device you used.
1.4 New versions. When we update these Terms, we will post the new version with a new effective date and ask you to accept it the next time you do one of the things in section 1.2. For visitors, the posted version applies from its effective date.

4. Description of the Service
The Service includes:
- browsing and searching for horse boarding facilities and trainers by location, services and other criteria, including by typing a request in your own words;

- claiming and managing Listings and Trainer Profiles, including uploading photos and editing profile information in the dashboard;

- informational content such as guides, cost pages, blog posts and market reports.
Claiming, updating and managing a Listing or Trainer Profile is free. If that ever changes, we will give at least 30 days' notice by email first.
Board and Stable is a directory and information service. We do not own, operate, inspect, license or manage any boarding facility or training business listed on the Site, and we do not endorse any of them. We are not a party to any transaction, agreement or arrangement between Users and the facilities or trainers listed on the Site.
5. Claims and accounts
5.1 Claiming. Facility owners and trainers may claim their Listing or Trainer Profile. Claims are approved to the email address you give, and you manage the Listing or Trainer Profile by signing in through a link sent to that address. By submitting a Claim, you represent that you are the owner, operator or authorized representative of the facility or training business. We may verify Claims by any means we consider appropriate. These include email verification, domain matching, automated checks that compare your details with the business's website (using artificial intelligence), and manual review. A Claim involves no payment and no charge.
5.2 Pro account. Claiming a Listing or Trainer Profile may also create a Board and Stable Pro account for you. You accept the Board and Stable Pro Terms of Service separately, when Pro asks you to. Pro is free to start. Its fees, and its free first 45 days, are in the Pro Terms of Service.
5.3 Complimentary Featured placement. A verified Claim of a Listing or Trainer Profile in the United States starts 21 days of complimentary Featured placement. No payment method is collected, nothing is charged automatically, and the placement ends after 21 days unless you separately purchase Featured.
5.4 Account responsibilities. You are responsible for keeping the information on your Listing or Trainer Profile accurate and for all activity under your account or Claim. Keep your sign-in credentials private.
5.5 Unauthorized Claims. Submitting a fraudulent Claim, such as claiming a facility or profile you do not own or have authority over, violates these Terms and may result in immediate termination of your access.
6. Listings and Content
6.1 Directory information. Listing and Trainer Profile information is compiled from public sources. These include Google Places data, the business's own website, state and association lists, and OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License). It is supplemented by information from facility owners and trainers who have claimed their profiles. Descriptions and amenities may be extracted from a business's website by artificial intelligence. Photos may be displayed directly from the business's own website. Where shown, star ratings come from Google, and review summaries are short summaries of public Google reviews written by artificial intelligence. There are no User reviews on the Site.
6.2 Accuracy. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or currency of any Listing or Trainer Profile. Pricing, availability, amenities, services and other details may change without notice. Verify anything that matters to you directly with the facility or trainer before relying on it. We may add, change or remove Listings and Trainer Profiles at any time.
6.3 Corrections and removal. If a Listing or Trainer Profile is about your business and you want it corrected or removed without claiming it, email hello@boardandstable.com, or use "Report a Problem" on a Listing's page (section 15).
6.4 Your Content and our license.
What you keep. You keep ownership of the Content you submit, including photos, descriptions and messages. You represent that you own or have the rights needed to submit your Content, including for people who appear in photos, and that it does not infringe anyone's rights.
What we may do. You grant Board and Stable a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, copy, display, adapt and distribute that Content to operate the Service. The license also lets us promote the Service and your Listing or Trainer Profile, including in Board and Stable marketing materials, on social media and in other promotional media. Promotional use applies only to the public Listing and profile content you choose to publish, such as photos, descriptions and amenities. We do not use your private business information, your contact details beyond what you publish, Inquiry messages, or any information about your clients or boarders for marketing or promotion. The license lasts for as long as the Content remains on the Site. After that, it continues only for promotional materials already published and for copies in backups until they expire.
How to opt out. To exclude your Content from promotional use, email hello@boardandstable.com. We will honor the request for future materials.
6.5 Prohibited Content. You may not submit Content that is false, misleading or fraudulent; defamatory, obscene, threatening, harassing or otherwise objectionable; infringing on any intellectual property, privacy or other right; unlawful; or spam, advertising or solicitation unrelated to the equine industry. We may remove any Content that violates these Terms or that we determine, in our discretion, to be inappropriate.
7. Inquiries and submissions
7.1 Inquiries. When you send an Inquiry, you consent to Board and Stable forwarding what you wrote and your contact information to the facility or trainer concerned, and to our contacting you about it. We may send you a confirmation email.
7.2 Submissions and reports. When you submit a barn, report a problem or submit another form, it comes to us, not to the business. We may contact you about it.
7.3 Screening. We screen Inquiries and submissions for spam and scams, using automated tools including artificial intelligence, and may decline to forward or publish any of them.
7.4 No guarantee of a response. We are not responsible for whether a facility or trainer responds. We do not guarantee any response, and we do not endorse, verify or guarantee the quality of any service described on the Site.
8. Featured placement and payments
8.1 Price and renewal. A claimed Listing or Trainer Profile may purchase Featured placement for $9 per month through Stripe Checkout. Buying Featured starts a paid month right away, including during a complimentary period. Featured renews automatically each month at the then-current price until you cancel. You authorize us to charge your payment method each month until you cancel. Stripe emails a receipt for each Featured payment, including each renewal. We also email a confirmation when Featured starts on a Listing.
8.2 Cancellation. You may cancel at any time from your dashboard or the Stripe billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and Featured placement continues until then. We do not refund partial billing periods, except as stated in section 20.
8.3 Refunds. Featured fees are non-refundable except as stated in section 20 or where the law requires. If you believe you were charged in error, email hello@boardandstable.com within 30 days of the charge.
8.4 Price changes. We may change the Featured price on at least 30 days' notice by email. The new price applies from your first renewal after the notice period.
8.5 What Featured is. Featured placement changes how a Listing or Trainer Profile is displayed and ranked. It is not a rating, inspection or endorsement.
8.6 Payment processing. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. By purchasing Featured, you agree to Stripe's terms (stripe.com/legal). We do not store your card number.
9. Board and Stable Pro
Board and Stable Pro is barn management software governed by the Board and Stable Pro Terms of Service. Pro has no plans or tiers. Each month a barn pays only for what it used.
Pro is free to start. Fees under the Pro fee schedule do not apply to a barn's first 45 days, and on request we will set up the barn in Pro at no charge from the records it sends us.
Starting Nov. 1, 2026, once a barn's free period ends, Pro costs $5 a month for each horse the barn cares for in Pro that month (care checked off or logged, a care photo, or a document uploaded or requested) and $5 a month for each client it logs a training session for, never more than $200 per barn a month. Setting up routines, feed plans, training plans and the schedule is free, and so is invoicing. Online payments through Pro carry 0.5% of what is paid, taken from the payment, except on lines for a horse, and lesson lines for a client, that had care or training in the 30 days before the payment; everything on a horse's line is covered, hauling and tack included. If a horse's payment comes before its care and the horse counts later that month, we credit the fee. Payments the barn marks as received by cash or check carry nothing. Event entries collected through Pro carry 0.5% from Nov. 1, 2026.
Online payments to a barn through Pro whose checkout starts before 12:00 a.m. Eastern time on Nov. 1, 2026 carry a 2% platform fee, including during a barn's free period. Payments whose checkout starts at or after that time carry the 0.5% described above instead. Stripe's processing fees apply to every online payment.
The Pro Terms of Service and their Fee Schedule govern Pro's fees and control over this summary.
10. Pages a barn provides through Pro
If a barn or trainer that uses Pro (your "Barn") sends or shows you a boarder portal link, an invoice or Quick Pay link, an event registration or balance page, a release or agreement to sign, or a staff link, or your horse appears in the My Horse app, this section applies to your use of those pages.
10.1 Your Barn is a separate business. Your boarding, training, lesson, service, event, care, work and payment arrangements are between you and your Barn. We provide the software your Barn uses. We are not a party to your arrangements with your Barn. We do not board, care for or train horses, and we are not responsible for your Barn's services, charges, refunds, pay or conduct. If you work at a Barn, your Barn, not Board and Stable, is your employer or the business that engages you.
10.2 Private links. A portal or staff link works instead of a password. Anyone who has it can see your pages and act in your name. Do not share it. If you think someone else has it, ask your Barn to issue a new one.
10.3 Payments. When you pay through these pages, you are paying your Barn. Your Barn is the merchant, and payments are processed by Stripe. Refunds, disputes and billing questions go to your Barn.
If your Barn adds a card fee:
- it applies to credit cards only, never to debit or prepaid cards, and never to event payments;
- you see the fee and the total before you pay, and you can pay by bank account instead where your Barn accepts bank payments, or cancel;
- the fee appears separately on your receipt; and
- if your Barn refunds a payment in full, the card fee is refunded with it. On a partial refund, your Barn is required to return a proportional share of the card fee.
When you pay your Barn by card or bank through Pro, Stripe saves that payment method in your Barn's Stripe account so you can turn on autopay. It is charged again only if you turn on autopay. Autopay charges your saved payment method under the autopay authorization you accept. It carries a card fee only if that authorization says so. You can turn autopay off in your portal.
10.4 Documents and electronic signatures. Your Barn may ask you to sign an agreement, waiver or other document here. By typing your name, drawing your signature and clicking to sign, you agree that your electronic signature is as binding as a handwritten one, and you consent to receive documents electronically. A parent or guardian signs for a minor. You may ask your Barn for a paper copy of anything you sign.
10.5 Care records and My Horse. Care logs, photos, feed plans, health documents and notes are records kept by your Barn. They are not veterinary, medical or safety advice, and we do not verify them. The My Horse app shows you the horses you own at the Barns that use Pro, and the care each Barn records for them. Where they are turned on for the Barn, it also shows your horse's feed plan and a button to message the Barn. If your Barn turns on care summaries, you receive email summaries of your horse's care. You can also keep your own horse records in My Horse at my.boardandstable.com, whether or not your barn uses Pro, and share them with a barn through a link that expires. Anyone with the link can see what you shared until it expires or you revoke it. Anything they download stays with them.
10.6 Messages. Your Barn and its authorized users can read the messages you send it. In a group conversation your Barn creates, the other members can also read your messages and see your name. In-app messages never generate text messages.
11. Text Message (SMS) Program Terms
11.1 Program. Horse owners, co-owners, other contacts a horse owner adds, and barn staff whose facility uses Board and Stable Pro may opt in to receive text messages from Board and Stable (operated by Spur7 LLC) on behalf of their facility. Horse owners, co-owners and contacts may receive messages about their horse's care and training, schedule reminders, billing and payment reminders, and document requests. Staff may receive reminders about overdue horse-care shifts assigned to them and links to the staff app. Opt-in occurs through a web form where you enter your mobile number and check a box consenting to receive text messages. By opting in, you agree to receive recurring automated text messages at the number you provide. Consent is not a condition of any purchase, of boarding, or of working with a facility.
11.2 Terms of the program:
- Message frequency: varies with your facility's activity.
- Cost: message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
- Opt out: reply STOP to any message to cancel at any time. You may also opt out by any other reasonable means, such as telling your facility or emailing hello@boardandstable.com. Reply START to opt back in.
- Help: reply HELP, or email hello@boardandstable.com.
- Carriers: mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Where available: text messages are sent only for facilities in the United States.
11.3 Privacy. We record the time, network address, device and version of the consent wording you agreed to on the web form, and the time of your most recent opt-out or opt-in by text reply. See our Privacy Policy for how phone numbers and consent records are handled. Mobile information is never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
12. Prohibited uses
You agree not to:
- violate any law, regulation or third-party right;
- submit false, misleading or fraudulent information, including fraudulent Claims, Inquiries, submissions or reports;
- scrape, crawl, copy or harvest Listings or data from the Site by automated means without our prior written consent, except through a public search engine's normal indexing;
- interfere with or disrupt the Service, its servers or its networks;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or to any connected system;
- use the Service to send unsolicited messages, spam, scams or commercial solicitations;
- impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or business; or
- reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell or resell any part of the Service without our express written permission.
We may block or ban anyone who does.
13. Intellectual property and copyright complaints
13.1 The Service, including its design, layout, text, graphics, logos, compiled data and software, belongs to Spur7 LLC or its licensors and is protected by United States and international intellectual property laws. "Board and Stable," "My Horse" and related names, logos and designs are trademarks of Spur7 LLC. You may not use them without our prior written permission. Business names and marks shown in Listings belong to their owners.
13.2 If you believe Content on the Service infringes your copyright, email legal@boardandstable.com. Include your contact information, a description of the work you own, the URL of the material, a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized, a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act for the owner, and your physical or electronic signature. We respond expeditiously to notices that substantially comply with the DMCA by removing or disabling access to the material identified in the notice. We terminate repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. Our designated agent for copyright complaints is the Copyright Agent of Spur7 LLC, at legal@boardandstable.com, (970) 541-9206, or the mailing address in section 23 (U.S. Copyright Office registration DMCA-1082513).
13.3 If we remove Content you posted because of a copyright complaint and you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to our designated agent. Include your name, address, phone number and email; identification of the material and where it appeared before it was removed; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification; a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which we may be found) and will accept service from the person who sent the complaint; and your physical or electronic signature. We will promptly send a copy of the counter-notice to the person who sent the complaint and tell them we will restore the material in 10 business days. We restore the material, or stop disabling access to it, no less than 10 and no more than 14 business days after we receive the counter-notice, unless our designated agent first receives notice that the person who sent the complaint has filed a court action seeking to restrain the infringing activity. This does not limit our right to remove Content for another reason under these Terms.
14. Third-party services and links
The Service links to and relies on third-party websites and services that we do not own or control, including facility and trainer websites, Google Maps and Google Places, OpenStreetMap, and Stripe. We are not responsible for their content, privacy practices or availability. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and policies.
15. Reporting problems
If you believe a Listing or Trainer Profile is inaccurate, fraudulent or violates these Terms, report it using "Report a Problem" on the Listing's page, or email hello@boardandstable.com for a Listing or a Trainer Profile. We will review reports and take appropriate action, which may include flagging, editing or removing the Listing or Trainer Profile.
16. Businesses outside the United States
The directory includes some facilities and trainers in Canada and Mexico. We do not market or sell to businesses outside the United States. For them, Featured placement is not sold, and complimentary Featured placement is not started on a Claim. We do not charge them for Board and Stable Pro, which is offered to them without online payment processing or text messages. We may change this on 30 days' notice.
17. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
BOARD AND STABLE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT: (A) THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE OR ERROR-FREE; (B) RESULTS OBTAINED FROM THE SERVICE WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE; (C) ANY FACILITY OR TRAINER LISTED ON THE SITE MEETS ANY STANDARD OF QUALITY, SAFETY OR LEGALITY; OR (D) ANY INFORMATION PROVIDED THROUGH THE SERVICE IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE OR CURRENT.
BOARD AND STABLE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONDUCT, ONLINE OR OFFLINE, OF ANY USER, FACILITY OR TRAINER. HORSES AND EQUINE ACTIVITIES ARE INHERENTLY DANGEROUS, AND WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR INJURY TO ANY PERSON, HORSE OR PROPERTY AT ANY LISTED BUSINESS. YOU USE THE SERVICE AND RELY ON ANY INFORMATION PROVIDED THROUGH IT AT YOUR OWN RISK.
18. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL SPUR7 LLC, ITS MEMBER, MANAGERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE OR GOODWILL, RESULTING FROM: (A) YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE, THE SERVICE; (B) ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SERVICE; (C) ANY CONTENT OBTAINED FROM THE SERVICE; OR (D) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO, USE OF OR ALTERATION OF YOUR CONTENT.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU, TOGETHER WITH THAT OF OUR MEMBER, MANAGERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS AND AFFILIATES, FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100) OR THE FEES YOU ACTUALLY PAID TO SPUR7 LLC FOR THE AFFECTED SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW SOME OF THESE LIMITS, SO SOME MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
Spur7 LLC is the only party to these Terms with you, and the only party responsible to you under them. No claim relating to these Terms or the Service may be brought against any member, manager, employee or agent of Spur7 LLC personally, except for liability that the law does not allow to be limited this way.
19. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Spur7 LLC and its member, managers, employees, agents and affiliates from all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from: (a) your misuse of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any right of a third party; or (d) any Content you submit. This does not apply to the extent a claim is caused by our breach of these Terms, our gross negligence or our willful misconduct.
20. Termination
We may suspend or end your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. If you have active Featured placement, we will cancel it and you will not be charged for later billing periods. If we end your access because you breached these Terms, no refund will be provided for the current period. If we end your access for any other reason, we will refund the unused part of your current Featured period. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination survive, including ownership, the license in section 6.4 as it applies to materials already published, disclaimers, indemnity and limitation of liability.
21. Governing law and disputes
Before filing a claim, email legal@boardandstable.com with a description of the dispute and give us 30 days to resolve it. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively in the state courts located in Larimer County, Colorado, or the United States District Court for the District of Colorado, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Either party may instead bring an individual claim in small claims court where it qualifies.
22. General
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the rest remain in effect, and the provision will be modified to the minimum extent needed to make it enforceable. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. We may assign these Terms to an affiliate or a successor. These Terms, together with the Board and Stable Pro Terms of Service where you use Pro as a barn or trainer, are the entire agreement between you and Board and Stable about the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings about it. Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal information. It is a notice, not part of these Terms, except where the law requires otherwise. If these Terms and the Board and Stable Pro Terms of Service conflict about Pro, the Pro Terms control.
